Volunteer Develops Machine-Learning Tool to Identify Rare Clouds

Scientists are investigating unusual cloud behavior characterized by increased frequency and lower altitudes compared to historical data. This research initiative, known as the Space Cloud Watch project, relies on citizen science contributions from volunteers globally. Participants were tasked with submitting new photographs of specific cloud types to aid in understanding the underlying causes of this shift.
