The US Senate has introduced the Modern Skies Act, aiming to secure an additional $30 billion for the country's air traffic control modernization project. This request supplements the previously approved $12.5 billion from Congress in 2025. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and Senator Eric Schmitt are advocating for congressional approval of this funding boost. The initiative was formally presented by Senator Schmitt on September 28th.
