UK’s Excalibur testbed powers towards next phase of work for Team Tempest

The UK’s Excalibur flight test aircraft has finished its initial testing period after undergoing a second round of significant airframe modifications, utilizing a modified twinjet Boeing 757. This unique testbed is being prepared to support the UK’s Future Combat Air System programme and Team Tempest’s efforts. Recently, the Excalibur joined RAF Typhoons in formation flights, demonstrating integration with current fighter assets. The next phase of work for the aircraft will focus on continued data collection and refinement following these modifications.
