This Regional Jet Has Wider Economy Seats Than Some Widebodies & No Middle Seat

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation is distinguishing itself in the regional jet market by offering significantly wider economy seating than many widebody aircraft. The company’s SpaceJet design incorporates seats measuring 17 inches across, substantially broader than typical narrowbody jets which often feature 16- to 17-inch seats. This expanded seat width provides passengers with increased legroom and improved comfort during flights. Mitsubishi has prioritized passenger experience, aiming for a more spacious cabin environment within its SpaceJet program. Currently, the SpaceJet is undergoing final testing ahead of anticipated entry into service.
