The Ex-Flight Attendant Who Scored Hundreds Of Free Flights By Posing As A Pilot For Nearly 5 Years

Former flight attendant, Danielle Vasquez, fraudulently obtained hundreds of free flights over nearly five years by impersonating pilots at several airlines including American Airlines and United Airlines. She allegedly posed as a pilot to gain access to crew lounges and secure boarding passes for herself and others. Authorities stated she exploited weaknesses in airline security protocols during her scheme which began around 2018. Federal investigators uncovered the deception after receiving multiple reports regarding suspicious behavior within airport lounge areas. The investigation led to Vasquez’s arrest on August 9th, 2023, following an extensive review of travel records and surveillance footage.
