Lincoln Airport in North Platte, Nebraska, is currently experiencing significant infrastructure changes following decades as a former strategic airbase. The airport’s main runway has been completely rebuilt, representing a substantial undertaking for the facility. Specifically, seventeen inches of concrete have been poured over the original runway surface that was previously constructed during the height of the Cold War era.
