Tecnam teases high-performance Rivale with Continental CD-300 diesel engine

Tecnam is generating excitement surrounding its upcoming high-performance Rivale aircraft, revealed during an event held in Brazil. Approximately three hundred individuals attended the unveiling of the prototype, which was partially obscured by rainfall. The company showcased a significant upgrade to the Rivale’s powertrain, incorporating the Continental CD-300 diesel engine. This new engine promises enhanced performance capabilities for the versatile light sport aircraft. Tecnam anticipates delivering the upgraded Rivale to customers starting in late 2024 following certification from aviation authorities.
