Sikorsky reveals ‘Black Hawk Next’ concept for modernised UH-60

Sikorsky has unveiled the “Black Hawk Next” concept, a modernized version of the UH-60 Black Hawk military helicopter. This new configuration incorporates significant improvements including enhanced engines and airframe structural modifications. A key element of the design is the integration of autonomous flight capability into the platform’s operation. Furthermore, the ‘Black Hawk Next’ will be able to accommodate increased weapon and sensor payloads for expanded mission versatility. Sikorsky anticipates this upgrade will maintain the Black Hawk's role as a prolific utility aircraft within the armed forces.
