Seoul clears follow on order for MH-60Rs

South Korea has finalized an acquisition of additional Sikorsky MH-60R naval warfare helicopters to replace aging Leonardo Lynx Mk.99/99As within the navy’s fleet. This follow-on purchase is being facilitated through the US Government’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process, overseen by the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA). The new helicopters are intended to enhance South Korea's anti-submarine warfare capabilities and modernize its maritime defense assets.
