Second NATS failure in two weeks leaves airlines calling for action

A recent system failure at the UK air navigation service provider, NATS’ Prestwick centre, resulted in approximately 300 flight cancellations on September 21st. The disruption originated from a “connectivity” issue impacting airports across Scotland including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Flights to destinations such as Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast and Dublin were also affected by the incident.
