Safran eyes year-end target for first tests of full RISE fan module

Safran Aircraft Engines is aiming to complete initial testing of its full RISE fan module by the end of this year. The company will conduct these trials at their new facility located at the Villaroche site in France. Specifically, they plan to test a 4m (13ft)-diameter composite fan as part of the low-pressure system. This work supports the CFM International RISE open-fan engine demonstrator program. Safran anticipates utilizing the results from these early tests to refine and optimize the design for future development stages.
