Saab unveils un-crewed combat air system concept

Saab presented a full-scale prototype, designated A3-001, of an unmanned combat air system at the Jubilee Air Show in Linköping, Sweden. This new concept demonstrates how future combat air capabilities could integrate crewed and uncrewed platforms together. The integrated system is intended to complement existing Gripen aircraft within Saab’s portfolio. Representatives from Saab highlighted that this represents a potential evolution for combat air systems. The unveiling occurred at Malmen Air Base on August 25th, 2026.
