Saab completes first flight of Gripen F

Saab successfully completed the inaugural flight of its new Gripen F fighter variant on August 28th, marking a significant milestone for the program. The sortie originated from Saab’s primary fighter development and production center in Linkoping, Sweden. Launch customer Brazil has already ordered eight of these two-seat fighters as part of their acquisition strategy. Chief test pilot Jakob Hogberg was involved in piloting the aircraft during this historic first flight. This event represents an important step towards delivering operational capabilities to Brazilian air forces.
