RAAF validates long-range strike capabilities for F/A-18F, P-8A

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) has achieved initial operational capability (IOC) for two critical long-range strike weapons systems: the JASSM-ER and LRASM missiles. These advancements represent a significant milestone in Australia’s maritime defense strategy. Specifically, Lockheed Martin's AGM-158B JASSM-ER and AGM-158C LRASM have successfully completed their IOC assessments. The RAAF is now able to deploy these advanced capabilities aboard its F/A-18F Super Hornets and P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This validation underscores Australia’s commitment to maintaining robust offensive air power within the Indo-Pacific region.
