Qantas unit Network Aviation inducts first Embraer 190

Qantas-owned Network Aviation has received its inaugural Embraer 190 aircraft, marking a significant step in the airline’s fleet renewal strategy for Western Australian operations. The newly delivered E190, registered VH-E9A, will primarily serve QantasLink routes and is slated to replace existing Fokker 100s. This initial delivery represents the first of fourteen mid-life Embraer 190s that Qantas intends to incorporate into its network. These new aircraft are specifically designed to bolster resource charter operations within Perth. Ultimately, this transition aims to modernize Qantas' regional fleet with more fuel-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft.
