Qantas, Melbourne Airport strike long-term expansion deal

Qantas Group and Melbourne Airport have finalized a commercial agreement facilitating significant airport development plans. This accord supports the A$4.5 billion international terminal expansion project at Melbourne Airport. The upgrade will incorporate five additional wide-body gates to accommodate increased passenger traffic. Furthermore, the agreement establishes a 15-year commitment dedicated to the delivery of the airport’s third runway. These developments are intended to substantially increase flight operations and overall capacity at Melbourne Airport.
