Private German rocket makes history, reaches orbit from European soil

Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum rocket achieved a monumental feat on September 5th, successfully reaching orbit from within Europe. This historic launch marks the very first time a privately developed spacecraft has attained orbital status originating from continental Europe. The mission utilized a two-stage design with a hybrid engine and demonstrated significant advancements in private spaceflight capabilities. Isar Aerospace, based in Germany, conducted the launch from its Feldberg test site near Frankfurt am Main.
