Premature braking caused multiple-tyre burst as Ryanair 737 Max landed with anti-skid inoperative

A Ryanair Boeing 737 Max 8-200 experienced a significant incident at Bergamo Airport following the landing of flight operations. Italian investigators have identified that premature braking, combined with an inoperative anti-skid system, caused the main landing gear wheels to lock up upon touchdown. This resulted in multiple tyre bursts impacting both the aircraft and the runway surface at the location. A delay in manual speedbrake deployment contributed to the circumstances leading up to this event. Damage was sustained by the aircraft as a direct consequence of the rapid deceleration and subsequent tire failure.
