Omni selects Honeywell weather radar for entire AW139 fleet

Offshore helicopter operator Omni Taxi Aereo (Omni) has finalized a deal with Honeywell Aerospace to equip its complete fleet of 33 Leonardo AW139 helicopters with the IntuVue RDR-7000 weather radar system. This decision reflects Omni’s commitment to bolstering safety and operational dependability, particularly when conducting challenging offshore operations. The AW139 currently represents a substantial portion of Omni's global fleet, which encompasses approximately 88 helicopters operating worldwide. Honeywell’s advanced radar technology will provide enhanced situational awareness for pilots during missions. This upgrade is intended to improve overall reliability across Omni’s diverse operational environment.
