New Statue Commemorates WWII ‘Triple Ace’ at Oshkosh

A bronze statue honoring World War II fighter ace C.E. ‘Bud’ Anderson has been unveiled at the EAA AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The sculpture depicts Anderson as he appeared during his combat service and is located within the airworthiness warbirds section. This dedication marks a significant recognition of Anderson's extraordinary achievements as a “triple ace.” Attendees can view the new monument near numerous historic aircraft. The unveiling ceremony took place on July 27th, 2023, solidifying Anderson’s legacy among aviation enthusiasts.
