New Delhi Leases two MQ-9Bs

India has finalized an agreement with General Atomics to lease a pair of MQ-9B SeaGuardian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These UAVs are specifically designated for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance operations within the Indian navy. The leasing period will span thirty months, commencing soon according to sources. This significant deal is valued at INR19.4 billion, which translates to approximately $214 million. The acquisition represents a strategic move by India to bolster its maritime capabilities and operational effectiveness.
