NASA Ames Fire Department Aircraft Firefighting Training

Beginning September 8th and continuing through September 11th, the NASA Ames Fire Department will conduct firefighting training operations at Moffett Federal Airfield located in California's Silicon Valley. This intensive training program utilizes a propane-fueled aircraft fire simulator designed for realistic scenarios. Training sessions are scheduled daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). The purpose of this exercise is to hone the department’s skills in responding to and extinguishing fires involving aircraft. Participants will gain valuable experience with specialized equipment and techniques relevant to airfield safety.
