Man Arrested At Miami Airport For Carrying Hundreds Of Opioid Pills On Flight From Colombia

A man was arrested at Miami International Airport on Wednesday, August 23rd following the discovery of hundreds of opioid pills concealed within his luggage. The individual, traveling from Medellín, Colombia, possessed prescription opioids hidden inside a black bag and two blue backpacks. Law enforcement officials seized approximately 700 milligrams of fentanyl and over 400 oxycodone tablets during the search. This incident occurred as part of ongoing efforts to combat illicit drug trafficking routes into the United States.
