Lufthansa City and Edelweiss name new chiefs in group management reshuffle

Edi Wolfensberger has been appointed as the new chief executive of Edelweiss, marking a significant change within the Lufthansa Group’s operations. Simultaneously, Michael Kirchner is stepping into the role of chief executive at Lufthansa City. These appointments represent three key leadership shifts across the Lufthansa Group's portfolio including Lufthansa City, Edelweiss, and Eurowings. The changes involve the addition of a new Chief Operating Officer alongside these two CEO positions. Previously, Michael Kirchner was serving as head at Austrian Airlines prior to his transition to this new role within the Lufthansa Group.
