Loganair Wants to Introduce Europe’s First All-Electric Fleet

Loganair, a regional airline based in Scotland, has announced an agreement to purchase up to ten electric aircraft from Beta Technologies. The deal represents a significant step towards decarbonizing air travel and positions Loganair as potentially pioneering the industry with its all-electric fleet strategy. These new aircraft, designated Alia CX300 models, are slated for delivery beginning in 2025. Beta Technologies is developing these zero-emission aircraft specifically designed for short-haul routes. This initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions associated with passenger transport within Europe.
