Lockheed Martin AI flies F-16 in 27 live-target intercepts

Lockheed Martin’s artificial intelligence agent successfully piloted an F-16 during twenty-seven live-target intercept missions. The tests utilized a heavily modified F-16 aircraft and were conducted using data collected from the system. These intercepts occurred at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, demonstrating the AI's capabilities in simulated combat scenarios. The AI autonomously controlled the fighter jet throughout each of the engagements. This represents a significant step forward in autonomous aerial defense systems development.
