Lessor AerCap orders 15 more Boeing 787-9s

AerCap, an Irish-based aircraft leasing firm, has finalized an order for fifteen additional Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners announced on July 21st at the Farnborough air show. This significant expansion brings AerCap’s total commitment to nearly 140 of the widebody aircraft. The deal incorporates options for AerCap to convert its commitments to the larger Boeing 787-10 variant, demonstrating a strategic flexibility within their fleet planning. Currently, AerCap's portfolio comprises almost 140 Boeing 787 models across various airlines globally. This latest purchase underscores AerCap’s continued investment in the long-haul passenger market.
