Israeli Air Force reopens Squadron 193 with new Sikorsky Seahawk helicopters

The Israeli Air Force has reactivated Squadron 193, a unit responsible for maritime operations in support of the Israeli Navy. This reactivation involved deploying twelve newly acquired Sikorsky Seahawk helicopters to the squadron’s base at Haifa Airport. The aircraft are specifically designed for anti-submarine warfare and search and rescue missions within Israel's exclusive economic zone. Initial training exercises will be conducted by the pilots and crew before operational deployments commence.
