Britten-Norman’s newest Islander has commenced its ground test program, scheduled to precede a planned initial flight in September. This aircraft was unveiled at the company's Isle of Wight facility on July 30th and is now undergoing rigorous testing procedures. The objective of these ground tests is to ensure optimal performance before the anticipated first flight date. Ultimately, the Islander will be delivered to the Falkland Islands Government Air Service (FIGAS). Following successful completion of this phase, the aircraft will then prepare for delivery to FIGAS operations within the Falkland Islands.
