ICEYE sets up India arm, plans local radar satellite production

ICY E has initiated the formation of an Indian subsidiary, marking a significant expansion for the Finnish SAR operator. On August 24, 2026, ICEY E announced this strategic move to establish ICEY E India. The primary objective is to facilitate localized radar satellite production within India, bolstering ICEY E’s global manufacturing capabilities. This new arm will focus on leveraging ICEY E's proprietary synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology. Furthermore, ICEY E anticipates creating employment opportunities and fostering technological advancements in the Indian aerospace sector through this initiative.
