IAI’s initial converted A330-300 freighter carries out maiden flight

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) completed the inaugural flight of its newly converted Airbus A330-300 freighter, marking a significant step in its certification process. The aircraft, designated as an A330-300BDSF, is part of IAI's expanding portfolio of Boeing freighter conversion programs. This modification introduces an Airbus model to IAI’s existing offerings, broadening their capabilities within the cargo market. During airborne testing, engineers will assess and validate performance characteristics for regulatory approval. Ultimately, this conversion aims to enhance operational flexibility and expand the reach of the twinjet platform.
