Today marks twenty-five years since the tragic events surrounding TWA Flight 800, which occurred off Long Island, New York on July 17, 1996. The flight experienced a catastrophic failure resulting in the loss of all 230 people onboard. This event significantly impacted the aviation industry and led to numerous safety enhancements implemented by regulatory bodies like the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). It’s difficult to grasp the passage of time considering that over half of the author's life has transpired since September 11th, 2001. Individuals born during this period are now entering adulthood with the ability to engage in activities such as renting vehicles.
