Honeywell Aerospace led alliance makes hydrogen-electric propulsion breakthrough

A Honeywell Aerospace spearheaded alliance comprising eighteen European firms achieved a notable advancement in the creation of a megawatt-scale hydrogen-electric propulsion system. This collaborative effort, dubbed Newborn, focused on developing this innovative technology for aviation applications. The project’s primary goal is to establish a viable pathway toward utilizing hydrogen as a clean fuel source within aircraft engines.
