Honda Aircraft postpones Echelon introduction by three years, citing supply issues

Honda Aircraft has pushed back the launch of its HA-480 Echelon light business jet to 2031, a delay of three years from the originally planned date. This decision stems from ongoing and persistent supply chain challenges impacting the airframer’s operations. Despite this setback, Honda Aircraft reports continued development efforts for the aircraft. The Greensboro, North Carolina company completed assembly of the initial Echelon wing structure in September 2026. Honda Aircraft maintains confidence in ultimately delivering the new timeline for bringing the Echelon to market.
