Heart readies HX-1 for first flight after FAA clearance

Heart Aerospace has received approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to conduct its initial flight test of the HX-1 all-electric aircraft. The maiden sortie is scheduled to take place at Plattsburgh International Airport, New York. The demonstrator plane possesses dimensions of 23 meters in length and a wingspan of 32 meters. Its total takeoff weight exceeds 11,300 kilograms or approximately 25,000 pounds. This FAA clearance marks an important step for Heart Aerospace’s development of electric aviation technology.
