HAL taps local suppliers for Prachand LCH fuselage sections

Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) is initiating a groundbreaking collaboration by contracting two Indian companies to manufacture key components of the “Prachand” Light Combat Helicopter (LCH). Adani Defence Systems has been assigned the production of 42 fuselage structures, while Bharat Earth Movers will produce 48. This represents the first time local firms are producing fuselage sections for a domestically developed rotorcraft program in India. These partnerships signify a significant step towards self-reliance within India’s defense sector. HAL anticipates these collaborations will contribute substantially to the LCH project's progress and bolster indigenous aerospace capabilities.
