GE Aerospace to invest US$225m in Niskayuna research centre

GE Aerospace is planning a significant investment of US$225 million to modernize its research center located in Niskayuna, New York. This expansion aims to bolster the company’s capabilities across several key technological areas. Specifically, GE Aerospace intends to focus research efforts into artificial intelligence, autonomy, robotics, and advanced propulsion systems. The state of New York has pledged US$8.4 million in tax credits through Empire State Development to support this initiative. Schenectady County Metroplex Development also contributed to the project's funding.
