A next-generation UK military aircrew training system is being developed that has the potential to support NATO and other allies’ needs. Industry provider, Ascent Flight Training, sees a ‘sizeable opportunity’ to expand its services internationally. This new system will increase capacity beyond current requirements for the United Kingdom. The existing contract for the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS) with Ascent Flight Training remains in place until 2033. Babcock and Lockheed are also involved in this evolving program designed to bolster international aviation capabilities.
