FAA Probes Close Call After Two Delta Jets Cross Paths In Atlanta

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a near miss incident involving two Delta Air Lines jets at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Tuesday afternoon. The aircraft, flight numbers 3162 and 894, experienced a close encounter while operating in proximity to each other over Peachtree City. Flight 3162, originating from Orlando, Florida, was initially delayed due to an earlier diversion. Following the initial delay, the aircraft executed a missed approach procedure and subsequently went around.
