“Discover Airlines Shark” takes flight

Discover Airlines initiated regular scheduled service utilizing an Airbus A330 outfitted with Lufthansa Technik’s AeroSHARK surface technology, representing the initial operational deployment of this modification. The aircraft, identified as D-AIKP, undertook its inaugural long-haul journey to Florida on Thursday, October 15th. This pioneering effort was conducted at Dresden, where the AeroSHARK fitting occurred. The objective is to achieve fuel savings through the innovative aerodynamic enhancement. This marks a significant advancement in aircraft efficiency and represents a first for Discover Airlines.
