DAF selects company to lead METC recapitalization project

The Department of the Air Force has chosen Layton/Gensler as the lead for a significant recapitalization project focused on the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas. This selection utilizes an Other Transaction Authority Agreement, a unique approach designed to expedite acquisition processes within the defense sector. Progressive Design Build will be partnering with Layton/Gensler to execute this ambitious undertaking. The goal is to modernize and enhance METC’s capabilities through strategic investments and design improvements. This initiative represents a key step in ensuring continued excellence in medical training for personnel across the Air Force.
