Collaborative Combat Aircraft arrive at Creech AFB, advancing operational integration

Five F-35B Lightning II Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) have arrived at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, marking a significant step towards integrating uncrewed systems into combat operations. The aircraft are under the operational control of the Air Combat Command and will participate in experimentation designed to assess their capabilities. This testing phase aims specifically to evaluate the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles with piloted combat aircraft. Data gathered during these experiments will be crucial for refining how CCA’s are employed alongside traditional fighter jets. Fort Meade is supporting this initiative as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance air dominance.
