Cirrus SR22 Pilot Survives In-Flight Fire After Deploying Parachute in Brazil

A Cirrus SR22 aircraft experienced a catastrophic in-flight fire over the state of Goias, Brazil on Tuesday, July 18th. The pilot, identified as Daniel Oliveira, successfully deployed his parachute following the intense blaze that rendered the plane a total loss. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and reported that Oliveira sustained only minor smoke inhalation during the incident.
