Catalina plans Florida engineering hub

Catalina Aircraft Company is establishing a new Engineering and Technology Center (ETC) in Vero Beach, Florida, dedicated to supporting the development of its Catalina SPAR amphibious aircraft. This multi-tenant facility will consolidate Catalina’s design team with aerospace and hardtech start-ups within a single location. The center offers shared access to crucial digital engineering resources, including a scale wind tunnel and wave tank for testing purposes. Furthermore, the ETC aims to foster collaboration between established aviation expertise and innovative technological advancements.
