Castlelake drops out of bidding for EasyJet

As of August 7th, Castlelake withdrew its interest in acquiring UK budget airline EasyJet after initially disclosing a potential offer in June. The investment firm had previously indicated it was among two bidders given a deadline to solidify their acquisition intentions. Castlelake’s decision comes following the establishment of a non-binding agreement regarding a possible takeover bid. This action leaves only one remaining bidder currently pursuing the acquisition of EasyJet at this time. Flight Global reported that Castlelake's withdrawal occurred on August 7th.
