Canada, Saab to enter full negotiations for six GlobalEye AEW&C aircraft

Canada is set to begin full negotiations with Saab for the acquisition of six GlobalEye airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft. This development follows an announcement in May that Saab was selected as the preferred supplier for Canada’s new surveillance capability needs. Ottawa plans to purchase the type, marking a significant investment in enhanced air defense capabilities. The deal involves a ‘term-sheet agreement’ signed by Saab on September 25th. These aircraft will bolster Canada's ability to monitor airspace and provide critical situational awareness.
