Blaze destroys A340-300 centrepiece of Turkish aeronautical science park

A fire has severely damaged the Airbus A340-300 aircraft, a key exhibit at Turkey’s Ucak Park aeronautical science learning center. The preserved airframe, formerly operated by Turkish Airlines, was established as an interactive aviation technology display just under a year ago. Located in Kocaeli province, approximately 8km southeast of its location, the A340 served as the central component of the park's educational offerings. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blaze that completely destroyed the ex-Turkish Airlines aircraft. This incident represents a significant loss for Turkey’s aerospace education and preservation efforts.
