Avianca, BOC Aviation enter into sale-and-leaseback deal

Avianca and BOC Aviation have finalized a significant sale-and-leaseback agreement for twelve Airbus A320neo aircraft. The deliveries of these new planes are scheduled to commence in 2029. Each aircraft will be powered by CFM International Leap-1A engines, representing a key component of the transaction. This arrangement is part of a broader commitment from Avianca’s parent company, Abra Group. The deal allows Avianca to access modern aircraft while BOC Aviation secures an asset investment with long-term lease obligations.
