Australian F-35As, South Korean KF-16s fly together to mark 75-year friendship

On November 2nd, 2023, the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and the Republic of Korea Air Force conducted a joint flight operation in close formation over the Yellow Sea. The exercise involved sixteen RAAF F-35A Lightning II fighter aircraft alongside fifteen South Korean KF-16 Fighting Falcon jets. This combined maneuver was designed to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and South Korea. Representatives from both air forces participated in the event, highlighting the enduring partnership. The demonstration showcased advanced aerial capabilities and underscored mutual defense cooperation.
