Archer and Anduril unveil Halo, the commercial version of their dual-use VTOL

Archer Aviation in collaboration with Anduril has announced the launch of ‘Halo,’ a commercially focused vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft. The Halo design represents a hybrid-electric vehicle utilizing an unmanned platform for versatile applications. Initial specifications indicate that Halo is designed to operate at speeds up to 150 mph and altitudes of approximately 2,000 feet. Archer anticipates commencing commercial operations with Halo by late 2024, targeting urban air mobility routes within key metropolitan areas. This dual-use capability positions Halo for potential deployment across both civilian and defense sectors, marking a significant advancement in aviation technology.
